I'm looking at replacing a Melitte Mill and Brew and wouldn't mind spending the extra dough on a much better home machine. After some research, I've narrowed my choices to either the Technivorm KBTS 741 or the CapressoCoffeeTEAM Luxe 453. I'd like to know your thoughts on each.
My take:
Both produce outstanding coffee, but the TV's SCAA certification give it the edge. I'm also digging the "S" model's thermal carafe (over the standard 741). The only advantage of the Capresso over the TV that I can see is the combination grinder.
So, TV's up 2 to 1 over the Capresso. Plus, the added personal craftmenship of the TV make it the better of the two machines.
