Trader Joes

Hi, I'm trying to find a good coffee for my espresso machine at Trader Joe's. Anyone have any suggestions? I prefer beans as my machine grinds them, too. I like something along the line of Illy as far as roast is concerned. I've been using Peets Major Dickeson's Blend, but it just doesn't have the "kick" I am looking for.

very very long time ago, i used to buy coffee from Trader Joes, but if you are look for a good coffee with "kick", better to stay away and look for local good roasters.

We've one local roaster and I tried a pound of his beans and they tasted like they had metal shavings in them. Worse coffee I've ever tasted. I threw the bag away after just 2 attempts. $12 down the drain. I do like Britt, but cannot find anyone locally that sells it. I've tried a Brasilian roast but cannot find it in whole bean form, just ground and that defeats the purpose of having an espresso machine with a built in grinder

actually, we have plenty of great roasters here in the forum. you should buy from them. some are very reasonably priced and freshly roasted coffee.
