I work at a small coffee shop outside of Washington DC. I had a roaster rep come in today. He and another customer were talking about coffee at a level that frankly made me jealous. I've been drinking coffee since I was 13 or so, but I don't really know too much about it (besides the mechanical method of making it). Can anyone suggest some resources so I can go from idiot to savant as quickly as possible?

Thanks.

I would recommend two resources straight up- 1/. Sweetmarias.com (a home roaster site but a bible of information about coffee in general- from bean to cup) and 2/. "Uncommon Grounds" a historical read about that side of the worlds most famous legally consumed drug!
