Hey Guys,

I have a Magister es70 Compact 2 group espresso machine. Our cafe is in asia and info/parts are much more difficult to acquire over here.

The two water choices I have are Reverse Osmosis purified water that I can buy in 5 gallon bottles (blue) or the water from the city that is going through our carbon filters twice.

Here's my problem: I am burning out my water pump because there is not enough pressure going into the espresso machine when it is connected to the blue reverse osmosis water bottles. This water is better than our filtered city water and produces the best taste. I need to use this water but I am not sure how I can create enough pressure so that I do not burn out the water pumps. Right now, we are going through a water pump every year at $250 each time.

Are there any ideas out there for me to use the best water but not hurt our espresso machine at the same time?

thanks.

maybe configure a large tank above your espresso machine so the gravity will act as a type of pressure. just a suggestion.

It sounds as a good suggestion! providing a support to createpressure will work. I love the freedom of enjoying a good coffee from myespresso machine whenever i like!

Look into something like this. These pumps are made specific to increase pressure and plumbing efficiency. :)
