Hi, I bought some beans today and had them ground for me, but they seem to have gone way too overboard with the grinding and left me with useless powder; is there anything I can do with it? I only have an espresso machine.

I tried my machine but it could barely pump any water through it, and then when I removed the portafilter it exploded coffee grounds everywhere due to the pressure buildup :decaf:

If they are as fine as powder then try a Turkish brew! Potent cup of coffee if done correctly

If this is a place you buy a lot of beans from and they normally get the grind right I would take them back and show them.

Use them as part of a rub for steak or slow roasted (barbecue) pork.
Also if you make a coffee concentrate and filter though cheese cloth, then you can add about 1-2 Tablespoons per 4 qts of Japanese curry... adds an extra dimension of flavor and umami-ness to it.

You could make coffee soap - The fine grounds can be an exfoliate in addition you would smell fantastic.

just use a cone filter and make a nice strong cup of drip coffee.
