La Marzocco- Linea 3 Group = 1 machine investment = pretty much the best machine around. (I would "guess" 80% of owners/Barista would agree with this statement)

    Single shot espressos

Ellie, that's a good angle to approach it from. I have a LM Linea 3gr. I was sure it was the la Marzoccoo baskets for the portafilters.... because they are kinda goofy shaped....and then we tried oversized baskets, etc. etc. but I have also heard it is an issue for a lot of people. Hence the...

pennies per shot..... I dump the second shot....of course, I also hope my next customer sitting in line is ready for a triple shot iced something  and then I would prepare 2 drinks at once. Seriously....the shots are night and day on our machine using a single vs. a double.....I would...

who makes the best chocolate syrup?

ditto way better flavor than anything out there....requires less syrup(1 to 1 1/2 squirts is ample in a iced mocha for many customers) than the others....especially if you have good, not bitter, espresso. :-D Good luck---- when someone says powder, run.

    Rancilio? Brasilia? La Marzocco?

as someone who made this decision (obviously many folks in here have made this decision) I would suggest going to the upper left hand corner of this page where it says "Search" and type in your machine choices name.....grab a cup of coffee, and start reading. I did this at about every...

    Location Location Location

Re: Not Mountain Mudd? Are there any good recommendations? Bonus for you.... No competition for locations. If they like black coffee...they will LOVE Americano's. (get great coffee, a great machine, and learn how to use it....and pull great shots!) I am a big believer in the glass (coffee...

No broken beans what is the secret?

correct me if I'm wrong....but doesn't a lot of that have to do with the qualiy of Green beans you/your roaster are using in a lot of instances? I know that I have been roasting 10-20 lbs per week, and I see some beans are awesome, and seems the final product is usually better looking as...

    La Marzocco Espresso machine

Great McDonald's analogy - well said on all points Cafemakers! :D Barb, The one of the other things I would do, is utilize a consultant for more than a few hours of consultation. I believe cafemakers offers this service, and they are not pushy about it in the forums - they have my respect...
