400mg a Day?

Hey everyone, I started my caffeine journey a month ago! First, I tried energy drinks – great energy boost, but then I realized it was all caffeine and switched to coffee. So, I'm wondering if you have any tips on Turkish/Arabica coffee and daily amounts? I'm more focused on the caffeine, and I know 400mg a day is risky. I use a 250ml glass with 3 tsp of coffee – is that a lot? Do you add sugar/honey? What's your experience? I drink two of those (6 tsp total) daily. What do you think? Oh, and sometimes I accidentally drink the leftover grounds, which causes stomach issues. I'm getting used to it, though. Sorry for the rambling question/confession! Thanks!
 
Hey there! Honestly, your routine sounds pretty solid, but be careful with those leftover grounds – they can definitely mess with your stomach. For caffeine intake, I’d suggest sticking to that 400mg limit (about 4 cups). I personally stick to black coffee with no sugar. Hey, so I've been messing around a bit, and honestly, there's no simple scientific answer to how much caffeine, how often, and when I should drink it.

What's wild is that, for me anyway, even the leftover coffee grounds, if I put them in water, work great! At least for me.

I know it sounds weird, maybe even wrong to some people, but I usually have tons of leftover coffee, so I just remix it with water and drink it.

Sometimes it's so diluted it's practically water, but it still works! And my stomach problems are gone, probably because I'm getting the same caffeine, just more diluted.

That's my experience, anyway. It's all about what works for each person.
 
Yep every single person will have different tolerance. For many yrs my average daily intake has been 7-800 mg from espresso, then throw in an energy drink periodically (160-240 mg) and that doesn't cause me any issues at all. Have checked blood pressure, pulse, O2, etc. before/after and never any measurable change. No restlessness, anxiety, jitters, etc. Can consume that within a few hrs and take a nap if need be. Imagine at this point I would have to consume well over 1 gram daily to notice any actual effect. Some people shake life a leaf in a hurricane after 1 double extraction (my stepson for instance) and I can only lmao. To each their own, just find what works and don't overthink it or pay attention to the ridiculous 400 mg max warning online!
 
Yeah, science is always a bit like that, right? They gotta give some average number, but everyone's different.

Even if I go over, I think I'd just feel kinda rough, not die instantly, haha.

I started with one Monster, then two, and hit around 300mg of caffeine – felt like I could handle more.

It depends on habits too, I guess. I drink tons of water – at least three liters a day – and do cardio and walk a lot. So, not sure if my caffeine intake is good or bad, but I'm figuring out my limit.

Thanks! I didn't realize how much the measurements varied between people.
