Hello Forum!

This is my first post. I have been roasting for myself at home for over 5 years on a small FreshRoast machine. I will be scaling up and roasting 100 pounds of beans at a local facility that rents time on large scale roasters (15k fluid bed roaster). From what I understand, the method should be the same, just a larger scale.

Seeking guidance on what type of bin/material is safe to use to transfer beans from the roaster to the packaging area. A food safe material seems obvious. What about holding up to the heat? If you have used or are using something for this task, please share.

Thanks!

Well - hopefully, there is some type of cooling method before you place it in the bid. I use food grade 5 gallon buckets... they hold about 18lbs roasted per.

Thank you Musicphan. This information is helpful. I will check if there is a cooling method along with this roaster. Much appreciated
