Beans comparable to the old Black Cat blend

Hello,

I use to enjoy the black cat blend espresso beans before they modified the blend a year or so ago. I got rid of my machine and had to get my coffee fix from local shops before they modified the black cat, but I now have another machine. I was all excited to get more black cat espresso beans until I read that they have modified the blend to a "fruiter" flavor.

Now that I've given you a history lesson for me, does anyone have any suggestions for beans I should try that will give me a flavor similar to the black cat blend of old?

Try Espresso Toscano from Counter Culture Coffee... one of my all-time favs, even better than Black Cat for me. I too loved Black Cat until something changed. About the same time I went with the Toscano. Keep in mind that roasters have to use what is in season and there can be variations throughout the year based on this. Later!
