Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum......I'm looking for a little help! I'm trying to find a nice built in coffee maker......I can find all sorts of them that are around $2000 dollars! But they all seem to make espresso's and what not. All I'm looking for is a nice coffee maker only, that can be built into the wall (obviously to save counter space). I don't need nor want one that has espresso capabilites....I only found one machine that does this, and its $400, which isn't "too" bad....but when I look more into it, it seems to be discontinued? A built in grinder would work also.....but not a requirement.....anyone have any suggestions for a built in coffee maker than I don't need a loan for?

thanks a lot!

Built in machine?

Tim-

Welcome to coffeeforums! I answered your question with more questions haha

My understanding is that you want to recess the machine into the wall to save space?
Is this for home or commercial use? meaning do you need a high volume machine?

Something that looks interesting and is $$$$ (I wouldn't spend)
Amazon.com: Brewmatic Electric Stainless Steel Built-In 12-Cup Coffee Appliance - 1033520.0: Kitchen & Dining

Search google or froogle for "commercial brewer" there are plenty of commerical brewers that have a symmetrical design

Things to ponder before clicking buy
How will the unit be serviced?
Are you going to be able to slide the machine, power, and water line out?
Will there be enough ventilation?
Will you be able to clean up spill easily?
How wide is your counter, will you be able to reach the machine without killing your back?

Best of luck

Mr. Shave, thanks for the reply!! This coffee maker I'm looking for is for my wife for her birthday, I do not drink coffee....maybe one cup a month? But my wife drinks coffee all the time.....so its for her.....I'll try and answer your questions with my reply with what I'm looking for.

The link you supplied, while its not on the counter, its not really what I'm looking for......as a kid I remember having a coffee pot that mounted below the counter like that........while that one does look a lot "sleeker" than we used to have, not quite what I want....plus the $800 price tag is out of this world for that.....

This is what I'm looking for: Fancy Coffee Machine this is the kind though that is WAY too expensive for my blood.....but again, this does espresso's and stuff like that......my wife doesn't drink espresso's neither do I.....but I'm looing for something built in that is "sleek" looking like this....I really like the look of this unit

This is the closest that I've found: Recessed Coffee Machine This is "closer" but not quite still what I'm looking for.......this is just a coffee machine, that is "recessed" into the wall.....it is made to fit in a 2X4 wall, so it really isn't "built-in".....which is why I guess they call it recesssed, it probably still sticks onto the coutnertop 6-8" if I had to guess.....it also does not have a built in grinder, which isn't a must, but would be nice, and for $400, it should have a grinder if you ask me.

What I'm looking for is something in between these two unit....It baffles me that I can't find anything. I love the look and the idea behind the $2800 one, but it has WAY more bells and whistles than we'd ever use, so there is no way to justify the price.....the $400 one is "nicer", and what I'm looking for to some extent, but still not "built-in" enough.......I want something that will absoutely not take any counterspace up, that can be built into our recess for the oven. I'd like for it to be plumbed into our water lines so we don't have to pour any in it....and not having a pot would be nice also......but again, not a must.....You mention the venting, I'd assume a unit that is designed to be built in would have all this figured out, sort of like a built in oven and microwave.

I'm sort of at the point where I think I'll just buy a $100 pot that has a grinder, build a recess in the wall that it sits in and when we want to use it, pull it out, then push it back in......but if I can find something that I want, then by all means, I'd go for it....I'd be willing to spend $600 or somewhere around that for something, but not $2000!!

Am I just dreaming, or does something exist? Its just coffee for cryin' out loud, I understand the espresso and cappachino machines are expensive and I guess if you drink those, the $2k might warrant itself, but for people that just drink plain black coffee, we can't have it?? My wife just started grinding her own beans, so now we have a pot and a grinder on the counter.....:(
