Hi

I would like to use instant coffee powder to color a product which I am making, but it would be much more efficient if the coffee taste wasn''t too strong, could someone give me some advice on either a type of instant coffee to buy, which isn''t too strong in flavor/smell, or a method of making coffee weaker.

Thanks a bunch

Buy the cheapest instant coffee you can find.

Here in the UK, there's a brand owned by Tesco called "Tesco Value" tesco's competitor asda has a similar thing called "smartprice" These companies make food for very low income families and their products are at the bottom of the storebrand pile.

You can buy around 500g instant coffee for 37p which is about 60 cents. It certainly will not taste anything like coffee! But will color your product well.

If you live in america I'm sure wallmart will have an equivalent.
