I only drink instant wen it is absolutely necessary, if I am out in the field doing training (military), then our field rations come with instant coffee packets and I take that because it's that or nothing. Sometimes I just eat it if there is no hot water available.

I flew into Hong Kong yesterday. of course, due to jet lag, so I can not sleep...
got up so early around 2:30 am and no place to buy coffee. So, just making some nescafe instant coffee at my hotel room. I always bring my own 3 in 1 Korean type instant coffee, just in case there is no complimentary instant coffee in the room.

I spent a couple enlistments in the military, I never really enjoyed or drank coffee often during that entire time. When I got out was when my passion for coffee grew. A couple times, when it was freezing during field ops and the cooks had some coffee at the field mess, I would drink a cup or two. Of course, that coffee isn't very tasty.... Maybe that's why I never liked coffee before.

Instant coffee is a caffeine delivery option. If it is the only option, just as Alex says, I will drink it, but enjoyment is not the point at all.

Yep!! Doug (Mr.Peaberry) is correct!
I was in Hong Kong yesterday and just drove to DongGuan city in China. Coffee is 10000% worse in China (including instant coffee), so I am having some Nescafe that is being provided by this hotel in the morning....why? because there is NO COFFEE SHOPS AROUND HERE unless you drive to the downtown which is an hour away.

the night photos are from my Hong Kong trip, looking over Hong kong island from Kowloon side of Hong Kong. (I did not do any photo shop thing. due to all the light reflections on the water, this is how it looks at night!) Also, I will took some photos when I go to Shanghai side which is even more awesome.

Of course I do, anything coffee is good for me may it be candies or cake or ice cream I will eat it. I especially like this one brand that my cousin gave me from the Philippines.
