Hello All,
After a few years of good service, our Gaggia Syncrony Compact Digital has succumbed to a mechanical or perhaps board fault... On start-up, the self-test gives the error "Brew Unit Blocked". The brew unit has been cleaned down, carefully lubricated and the mecanism checked, but the fault persists.
During the self-check, with brew unit removed and interlocks bypassed, the master cog drive only rotates about 45 degrees CCW before reversing back to the starting point - and giving the error message. So I'm guessing that it's either a drive cog problem, a water flow problem upstream (unlikely?), or a main board fault.
Most posts re this model are about 3 years old, so I'm hoping there are still some experts on-line with experience with this problem.
Thanks,
JimV
