Can anyone recommend a decent green bean wholesaler that offers a decent selection of Organic, FTO and/or Shade Grown? I'm based out of Pittsburgh PA.

Royal, NY or Olam specialty coffee. They both have warehouses in New Jersey and have huge selections.

Ha, I was half way to NJ this morning to pick up my first bag of PNG beans from Royal. I was trying to beat the storm coming in, and forgot about the 24 hour notice rule. Luckily I called them on the way, and got the bad news. Half a day of my life that I will never get back!

Oh, just out of curiosity... when I was searching for someone closer I found Three Rivers Coffee Importers. Based on their site though I believe they may no longer be in business. They had a twitter account but the last update (tweet) was in 2012. Called the number they had listed several times but get nobody. Just wondering if anyone ever heard of them or dealt with them? It would be convenient to find someone in Pittsburgh.

These are some of the suppliers I use, Cafe Lobo, Royal Coffee NY, Cafe Imports, Serengeti, Optco and Cafe Imports. All depends on what you're looking for but they all have good selections of organic/FTO/etc.

Anybody have had experience with Gillies of Brooklyn green coffee trader?

If interested we grow and import coffee from Colombia, great quality Q Grader scored green beans that come either from our fincas (farms) or surrounding farms in the Colombian Coffee Axis area Valle del Cauca, we bring Micro lots which has been recently packed into our own 35Kg sacks to ensure freshness and have it in the US in just a few days. Coffee analysis report prepared by the Q Grader taster is available for your review, you can also see the reports in our website cafedelalomasc.com. Let me know if you would like further info.

I have dealt with Gillies for 9 years now. Good quality green beans with fast delivery. They offer 25 lb boxes for smaller home roaster or full bags for larger operations.

Hi all,

I have Guatemalan Volcanic San Marcos region coffees available for cupping and sale. 1500-1800 meters, hard bean, washed.

PM me if there is interest,

Thanks for the recommendations so far! I've been ordering from Sweet Maria's almost exclusively just because I know that I like most of what they source.

Anyway.. I'm in the Atlanta area, does anyone know of a good source (like the OP I prefer organic, shade-grown, etc) close to me? I'd rather not keep shipping from California all the time.. Thanks!
