I'm over sixty, moved from the Bay Area about three years ago, and like it here waaaay better, but only because I have an air conditioner...without which I'd be dead of heatstroke by now. I occasionally drink Chinese White Tea, but only for the health benefit. The taste is not as awful as all the other teas, but still not anything I enjoy.

Coffee is my love. I blend my own from 1 lb Colombian Supremo, 1 lb Hawaiian (Kona or whatever I can find on sale), and a cup of roasted Chicory. I use a Turkish coffee pot. Beats anything I ever found at coffee shops! It takes a lot of willpower to say no to that second cup, and sometimes I fail. I found this forum on a Google search for...coffee forums!

Welcome Skygee. You drink Turkish coffee daily? I do love turkish coffee..I just don't drink it all the time. Chicory I am not a fan of. I remember when I was a barista in the late 80s a guy would come in and buy 2 lbs of chicory a month. I asked why he didn't buy his coffee here too if he blended it at home. He said when he was a kid during the great depression people used chicory to cut coffee due to cost. He said he got to the point where he drank straight chicory and never went back. I always say...taste is subjective. Again...welcome to the forums!!

I forgot to ask. I know you use chicory but have you ever tried cardamom? It used to be popular in Turkish coffee. I had a buddy bring this back for me from Turkey a few months ago.
