Run from anyone suggesting Lavazza. It might fit into your paradigm of good coffee and what you're expecting from your machine. But pre-ground, in a can, perhaps years-old coffee... how can that be good.

And don't be fooled by an Italian accent... thinking the Italians know espresso because it originated there is a myth.

Same should be said for Charfux... the masters of manipulation in sourcing tons of low grade coffee, over roast the imperfections and flavor/sweeten the crap out of it to make it palatable.
 
Also keep in mind that this machine (out of the box) has a pressurized PF, so the crema ("foam, as he called it) in the first shot and at least to some degree in the second, may be fake crema.
