Is Your Coffee Insured ?

A volume buyer asked us for the First time today,
do you have Insurance on the Coffee we sell ?

I have never been asked that question before, we do have Coverage
for those who enter our workplace, and do Guarantee the Quality of
the Product, and will replace any torn bags during delivery.

He said if someone claimed to get sick from a product, we needed to
have coverage for that Issue.

Is that a Standard coverage for the Industry, or have to be written in,
or does anyone in real practice have this protection ?

For our operation we have full coverage on the van itself, the equipment inside as well as a $2 million liability policy to cover all else. There's really no such thing as having too much insurance even though it can be costly. But a lawsuit can cost much more. Later!

Most Business Owners Policies have some product liability, which would cover you in the event of someone getting sick on food eaten at your place.
