Jura E8 bypass doser

I love this machine, but I need some help with this function. I used the following process, but what happens is the machine then appears to dump the contents into the empty bin and no coffee is poured. What's wrong with this process?

1. Place cup under drink dispenser.
2. Open lid to bypass doser.
3. Two level scoops of 'not to fine' pre-ground coffee in the bypass doser chute.
4. Close the lid on the bypass doser.
5. Select Espresso and start to pour drink.
6. Failure!!!

Any advice here?

It sounds like the coffee grounds may be too fine to pass through the bypass doser. Try using a coarser grind of pre-ground coffee and ensure the lid is securely closed after placing the grounds in the chute. If this does not solve the problem, there may be a blockage in the bypass doser chute that needs to be cleared.
