La Cimbali Pump/expansion valve issues

I have had a squeal in my heads, I replaced the solenoids, The pump was also squealing during brewing. I have replaced this. The machine is an M29 Basic and is 20 years old.The only gauge on the machine is the one pictured. I am trying to get the water flow right. The boiler is overfilling and pump still squeals, I have turned the adjuster on the side of the pump and the squeal stops but I now get a squeaking sound when I turn of the water tap. I am thinking solenoid here again? The expansion valve has no water coming from the drain hose.
Does anyone know how I can get my flow and pressure correct with this machine not having access to pressure gauge?

Note the expansion valve pictured is not the one I have but same other than grub screw being on the other side
