Looking for a 1KG electric roaster with a variable speed drum

Hi All, I am based in London UK, and I am looking for a 1KG electric roaster with a variable speed drum. My max budget is USD $5,000, though the lower the amount the better Can anyone recommend any roasters in this range? Any experience you've had with these roasters, and or pros and cons would be super appreciated. Many thanks, Muaz

Hi Muaz... since your purchasing a 5K.. why are you looking at 1KG as well? Sample roasting?

Hi Musicphan, the 1kg will be for sample roasting, and for some malt and cacao roasting (the latter for personal consumption) which from what I have seen need a slightly lower drum speed than a coffee roaster to prevent breakage.

Cool.. I only ask because variable drum speed and that small of unit is going to be hard to find. And just a FYI.. your suppliers will typically only provide you 200g samples... so at least in my situation when evaluating green samples from importers I'm typically only roasting 100g loads. My Quest M3 does a great job.. however it doesnt have a variable speed drum.

Roaster Dynamics has a 1k electric roaster that can be changed over to gas later if you want.
