Ipod.

sure, it doesn''t solve the ascap issue, but you can play whatever you want, whenever you want. just make HUGE playlists- you don''t want your employees (or you) getting bored or annoyed at hearing the same music over and over. You can buy inexpensive speakers that sound really good. Then you can run cables around the shop. I never believed it until I tried it- the music quality is way better than high end sound systems, so long as your speakers don''t suck.

Look for cool musical podcasts, too, or, as someone else said, stream internet radio, if at all possible. Or, if the ascap rep comes in again, use the ipod and tell them it''s internet radio.

Do they own that, too?

Good luck,

David

Thanks, David... I think that's what we're going to do. And, yes, ASCAP owns everything... or at least they think they do. (Sorry, coming from 13 years of broadcasting and ASCAP/BMI b.s., I'm a little bitter that they can sock it to me here, too.) LOL
