There's a new book out called "Beans" about a "small coffee company in downtown Seattle that exists in the shadows of Starbucks and Tully's..." The place is fictionalized in the book. Does anybody know who it's based on?
I just saw this. I've heard it's based on Monorail Espresso on Pike Street. Anything that gives a Starbucks competitor a little good press is fine w me.
I'd like to say that the story was based on us , but I'd be lying. Besides we're a small roasting company in Shoreline instead of downtown Seattle. However, we are fortunate enough to have long lines at our drive thrus. I'll have to check out this book. Sounds good, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
