the thing is that it isn't always a tight fit. It's only every once in a while..normaly it is nice and loose. I don't want to increase the size of the receiving orifice or it will rattle. I think that it actually might be the trier. I have replace the handle and I think I need to replace the top end.

Topher, I was just suggesting that the trier might have a small burr. I have noticed at times that when heating two metal parts that this can be the issue and a simple emery cloth and a; “couple” of twists will de-burr. It could be just an occasional build up of burnt chaff (A.K.A. white mysterious gaseous powder :shock: ). And, that the emery cloth, will clean/ de-burr any of that. Just a thought! :grin:
