Has anyone attended a SCAA conference. Is it worthwhile?

It all depends on what you are expecting out of it...I paid only $45 to walk the floor...I am there to see what is new on the retail end of coffee...meet with others in my field and check out a bit of the Barista comp....oh well that is just my 2 cents...I went to Boston for last years show....and had a great time...was there for 5 or 6 days...can't remember(shows you how much fun I had) I can say I was able to see every exhibtor since I was there for so long....Also I was in the barista comp. I am going for 2 days this year...sniff sniff..not with the casino anymore, so have to budget 
Hey Fat...just so you know next years will be in Seattle...maybe I will get to meet E.O. even though he hates the shows....I will have to set some time aside to grab a pint with him....That is your stomping grounds isn't it E.O.?

Seattle?...great :grin: . Much better for us based in Asia and Australasia.
So Alun doe this mean you will be there next year? If you start walking now you might make it....He do you know a guy named Joe Davis with Ambex?

Yeah I haven't seen snow for 5 years so I might pack the ski's and go via Canada...so after I trek through Thailand, across China, swim the Bering Straits, do some skiing I will see you guys in Seattle. Yeap, I will definatley be there. Don't know Joe Davis, but I have obviously heard of Ambex...why does he come down this way often?

AAAHHH...Time to wake up :-D I might even make an appearance to the show next year as well...You never know...Not as a presenter, but as a common floor walker, I do enjoy to mingle amoung the commoners every once in awhile :twisted:
