The Art of Roasting

My wife and I want to start roasting our own coffee and learning the art of it. Would anyone recommend a homeroaster that would help us learn the art of roasting using all the variables and not just preprogrammed profiles?

Fresh Roast Plus 8

A real inexpensive and fly by the seat of your pants roasting. I would suggest Fresh Roast Plus 8. It is a log of fun. You get to watch the coffee change colors and hear the cracks.
