Hello!
Tomorrow I am flying to San Diego, I'll be there a few days. I am looking for recommendations for cafés with the best the city has to offer.
I like: progressive shops (think several single-origin espressos and many brew methods to choose from), excellent milk texture, cool attitudes, and limited menus.
I am turned off by: baristas who ask me if I want my macchiato to-go, more than 2 flavor syrups in sight, a lunch menu, and ass-hole baristas.
I like to take coffee seriously, but I like it because of the community it builds. The baristas should be knowledgeable, but excited to connect with someone at any point in their journey (and won't be rude to any customer, ever).
