How do you as a coffee shop owner have your employees report their tips to you. In NC state employees are required to provide the employer with the $amt. of their tips for the month if it is $20 or more. Do you have your employees report the tips to you daily when the tip jar is emptied or do they give you the $amt. at the end of the month? Once the shop owner reports this to the state monthly what happens? If employees do not report their tips to you then they must report that amount when filing their income taxes before April 15th of each year?
