When my wife has to tell me, "No more coffee for you." It is most likely because of robusta.

i think the country of origin makes a difference in whether its robusta or arabica as well? does it?

It's a veriatal thing there are many different types of coffees that a farmer can grow each has its positives and its negatives.

Most people don't like the taste of Robusta and prefer Arabica, it does usually have a higher percentage of caffeine and is much easier to grow, many large coffee producers (think preground and canned supermarket coffees) include some in their blends. This might also be part of the reason for the bad reputation of Robusta beans, I once ordered some and roasted it for the sake of science, I personally didn't like it at all but I am not an expert after roasting one batch three times.

Death wish uses a percentage of Robusta in their blend (the claim to be the coffee with the most caffeine), I don't think I am their type of customer as I think it also tastes awful.

So there you go, there are other varieties also coffee is an amazing commodity!
