Breville 870XL not steaming

Hello,

My Breville 870xl has the following symptoms:
1) It no longer steams
2) The pressure gauge no longer moves
3) It pulls shots just fine
4) After descaling the hot water now works

I have heard that the problem could be fixed by replacing the valve solenoid kit; can anybody please confirm this?
