Looking for ideas for inexpensive paper bags for packaging. Need 1 and 5 pound bags. I've looked at a few options online like uline, webstaurant, papermart, etc. Papermart seems to have the best price but doesn't offer a 5 pound bag. Webstaurant has the best price point but then blows it with outrageous shipping costs and has a ton of negative reviews so I am shying away from them. Any other ideas to get some basic unprinted packaging?

Nobldy? Nobody in the coffee industry forum buys bags to package their cofee?

Very few people will use paper bags... most people use gusseted bags w/ valves. The big three that sell them are: Pack Plus / PBFY & Pacific Bag

Thank you for the response. I will check out those options. When I said paper bags, i guess what i meant was the gusseted bags that have a paper exterior and an inner liner and most i have looked at do have the valve. Thanks again!

If I go with the tin tie paper bag type, do I need a way to seal the bags or are the tin ties enough? These would be for local sales so they would not be shipped anywhere.

You will need/want a sealer... the ties will close the bag but not keep them air tight.

You will want a impulse sealer... and depending on the thickness of the bag you might have to hit it twice.

Great! Much cheaper than the crimper. Thanks for all the helpful responses Musicphan!
