Heat Sealer Confusion

Hi All,

I need to buy a heat sealer and am confused about what is necessary to simply seal a bag. I'm just getting started and would like to save money (obviously). Will any old heat sealer from ebay do the trick? (old threads seem to suggest this) I have read of people using irons and hair straighteners as well. I don't need to do massive numbers of bags or anything, and if I grow I'm happy to upgrade. Any help is appreciated!

AIE Impulse 8" sealer will run you about 90.00. They have an excellent warranty and have been around for years. I have been using the same one for 20 years and only need to replace the wire strip occasionally.

Yes a small impulse sealer will do the trick. Your bag company should sell them.
