I know what I like in a coffee, but I don't know how to relate that to the way that roasters describe their beans. What I like is good arabica beans, usually in a Colombian or Ethiopian variety, in a light roast. The problem is that I don't know how to describe it and, therefore, what to look for in the roaster's descriptions of various offerings. What I might say is winey, fruity, maybe even a bit sour, and very aromatic when you open the container, but that may not be altogether accurate, and it certainly doesn't match with typical descriptions. So, if anyone has any suggestions as to the proper description for this kind of coffee, I would be appreciative.
