Thanks for having me everyone...

I have purchased a JURA S8.

I took it out of the box and started going through the initial setup. I got to "cleaning the milk system" and the machine is making a clicking sound but no cleaning solution is being sucked up the tube. Likewise, when I hook the tube to the milk carafe, it makes clicking sounds, a little steam comes out the machine, but milk isn't being drawn through the milke tube.

I have washed and rewashed everything, taken apart the fine foam frother mechanism and cleaned it - no luck.

The machine only has the white milk tube connectors, not the black one. Is this a problem?

Any advice?

I'm in Mississippi, as far as I know there are no Jura repair shops within 1000 miles lol

You need the milk cleaning pitcher if it's the newer model S8. For older S8, it's completely different. So you have to tell people the model number first.

I gave up. The Jura makes great coffee and lovely Latte but the milk system is a nightmare. I clean it after every session, I have bought new parts for the frother twice. They last about a month before it stops suction again. I have had the machine serviced by Jura twice (crazy price for that). I have now bought a separate frother jug for £29 and it creates much better froth. The Jura now just grinds and pours the coffee and I add my own frothed milk. Much nicer, much more efficient and will do the job untilI can afford a new machine but it won't be a Jura - £800 new, £250 for each service. Just not worth it
