La Scala Carmen 2 Group....Please help!!!

Hi all,

I have recently bought a La Scarla Carmen 2 Group Manual Machine second- hand.

My problem is that it''s got a switch that turns either way with 1 or 2 on it.

I have sussed that 1 turns on the boiler and the machine operates normally but on 2 nothing seems to happen. Does anyone know what it''s for???

Also there''s a fair bit of rusty coloured water coming out of the hot water tap......I thought maybe through it sitting about doing nothing???

Usually they represent certain stages that the machine can be turned on to. Some machines will turn on at 1 but will not engage the heating element. Mostly for the purpose of filling the machine and for diagnostics. 2 would be all on.

As for you boiler I would highly suggest you fill it and drain it a few times before you use it.
