Hi,
For several years now I have been making coffee using a 6-cup moka pot of the classic octagonal-walled design. I purchased this in Germany and it is made by Butlers of Italy. Last week I forgot to fill the lower chamber with water prior to putting it on the stove and the result is that my gasket has been burnt and causes a foul stench and taste to the coffee. Clearly I need a replacement gasket.
Does anybody know if the gasket required is specific to the manufacturer (who I can''t seem to track down), or are the readily available replacement gaskets by Bialetti etc a standard size that fit all moka imitation models?
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
