Problems with Magmix L'Expresso

Hi all, We're having mysterious problems with the above - it doesn't seem to want to make a good expresso any more. The bitterness seems to be accentuated, with little of the richness we used to get. It seems to be a recent thing. Though we've descaled the machine a few weeks ago (we live in a pretty hard water area), the change seems more recent than that. We've had the machine about 3 years, I bought it because it had a slightly higher pressure pump than the retail competitors. We do get a little steam leakage from the main outlet (for the basket), maybe that's enough to spoil the taste? Any ideas anyone? Or do we just fork out on a Baby Gaggia? JumpingBean

Fork out the cash for a new machine. What you have is a machine with planned obsolescence. They are cheap enough to just throw away. By the way pump pressure on these machines means practically nothing as its just a selling point.
