Saeco Talea Giro Plus Issue

Purchased a Saeco super automatic with an issue. I turn it on and it sounds like it's brewing coffee, but none of the buttons seem to respond. It just continues with the boiler buzzing. Wondering if anyone has an ideas about what this issue is related to? I have no idea of the history of the machine or anything. Thanks!
