I new to the forum. I am presently converting my food trailer into a rolling coffee shop. The trailer is a commercially built unit. I plan to offer espresso drinks, gourmet drip coffees, smoothies and shaved ice. My question is concerning the Vitamix. I can either purchase two of the Bar Boss units or one of the Touch and Go with the sound enclosure. Anyone have any experience with them? I not real worried about sound inside the trailer as much as production. Also I have seen sound a enclosure that can be purchased for the Vitamix. Thanks

Have you ever stood next to a commercial Vitamix machine while it's grinding ice or making a smoothie? I've heard some that sound like a rocket ship taking off. You'll go absolutely crazy having to listen to that noise all day in a closed-up trailer.

No matter what machine you end up with, get a sound enclosure for it if it's available. You'll be glad you did.

Get the sound enclosure, otherwise you'll want to chuck the Vitamix out the window after using all day for one day especially in a tiny space like a trailer lol. They are loud as heck.

Hi JodyG,

I don't know anything about vitamix but I would love to offer you samples of a gourmet coffee that I am selling and using myself. It keeps me going and it comes in individual packets just add hot water. I am thinking that will be easy to store on the rolling coffee shop:coffee:. I am trying to find ambitious movers and shakers to try this coffee because I know you will like it like I did. I am trying to make extra cash because I need to take care of my family members who are disabled and a house. Everyone is struggling and we all just need to support each other.

Thanks for the replies. I know a lot of the smaller coffee shops use just one. I still don't know what kind of production one machine will do.

Does anyone have experience with the newer 'quiet' blenders... Blendtec has the Q-Series, Vitamix has The Quiet Ones... currently I'm using a older Blendtec Smoother - are they significantly quieter?

I have a Blendetec Q series with a sound enclosure. Noise is not that bad.
