Position Summary:

Reports directly to the Director of Operations and is directly responsible for assuring and enabling the compliance and continuous improvement of all EOC product materials, manufacturing processes and finished products including the supporting systems and processes.

Jointly responsible for and provides the Operations leadership consumer/customer based product improvement and product development initiatives. Union Plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Finished Product Quality: Leadership and direct responsibility for the development, application and effectiveness of systems, processes and technologies – including Bills of Materials, Specifications, Manufacturing Standards, Quality Reports, and Tools of Quality – that enable the compliance, communication and continuous improvement of the quality of EOC materials, manufacturing processes and finished products.

Product Development & Improvement: Operations leadership and joint EOC responsibility for developing and enabling a continuous stream of consumer and customer based product and package improvement and development initiatives.

Quality Department Leadership: Direct responsibility for the leadership, management, supervision and development of EOC Quality Department personnel.

Current Year Operating Results: Direct and meaningful contribution to Current Year operating results including Safety, Cost Savings, Operating Budget, Customer Service.

Organizational Capability: Enable a significant transfer to and the effective application of quality related tools, skills and knowledge by EOC operating managers and operators that improve overall operating effectiveness.

Long Range Planning: Develop annual and long range Quality Improvement Plans that directly link and contribute to the achievement of EOC Business and Operations objectives.

External Relationships: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with applicable federal, state and local regulatory agencies and industry organizations.

Required Experience:

Bachelors Degree preferably in Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent

8 years relevant experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment

Background with Statistical Process Control/ISO 9000 process improvement programs and continuous improvement initiatives required

Familiarity of regulatory compliance

Experience with FDA, food industry manufacturing standards and best practices and international Quality System’s rules, regulations, including planning and implementation

Oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.

Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential.

PC-based computing experience (word processing-Word, spreadsheet-Excel, Access database, presentation- PowerPoint, documentation

Degree Requirement:
4 Year Bachelor Degree Engineering preferred
Experience in Years Required: 8+ Years
Salary Range: $85000 - $90000
Bonus Range: $14500 - $16200
