Water Limits

My wife received a new Keurig machine from our daughter but it limits the water to a maximum of 10 oz. My coffee cup holds approx.11 or 12 oz. When I put in the higher amount, it automatically sends it to the drip tray. Is there any way to bypass this limitation? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave
