I saw one of these coffee makers in a coffee shop in Tokyo. The name of the coffee shop was La Mille and all I could understand from the waiter is that it was a dutch drip coffee maker. I would love to know what the official name of this coffee maker is, and where I might acquire one, if that is even possible. the one that we saw appeared to me a slightly older model, maybe even antique, without the glass coils on the bottom. It stands about two and half to three feet tall. I know the picture is a little small but if you have any clue as to what this thing is, I would love to have any information on it. Thank you!

The only real problem is there doesn't appear to be very many outlets to purchase these units. The official importer is Topex but they don't appear to be listing it as a product they sell. Here's there link TOPEX ::: Visual Communication :::

It's definitely cool looking!
A visit to a scientific/chemical glass supply house would allow you to purchase the separate components.
Create a stainless support structure, and voila, you're cooler than anybody else on your block.
