I'm thinking that, perhaps, a strong cup of coffee is defined by nothing more than its color, which primarily comes from the roast.

Is there something else that one can gauge how strong a cup of coffee is without looking at it???

The more grounds you use, the stronger the cup of coffee.

Over extraction or under extraction are a result of improper brew ratio and grind.

somethimes coffee does not smell as strong as the beans, depends on your machine.....

I think more to do with coffee bean. Some beans give more flavor then others. Sumatra, Yirgascheffe, Sidamo, and some more of beans will give much more stronger flavor. Also the different roasting will give different flavor as well. So i guess it will be different on each different beans and method of roasting......

I just got done roasting Brazillian beans..... beautiful full flavor..... yummmmmm

Where is your brazil from coffeejunky? (I was roasting a faz colina estate but just ran out.)
