[h=1]Will drinking a strong cup of lipton black tea that comes in little bags but in the cold brew method damage the stomach lining over time? If so, how? Why might that be a possibility assuming it was? Many people have told me that it will because of the caffeine in it? how true would that be? rsvp.[/h]

Drinking moderate amounts of black tea is SAFE for most adults.

Drinking too much black tea, such as more than five cups per day, is POSSIBLY UNSAFE. High amounts of black tea can cause side effects due to the caffeine in black tea. These side effects can range from mild to serious and include headache, nervousness, sleep problems, vomiting, diarrhea, irritability, irregular heartbeat, tremor, heartburn, dizziness, ringing in the ears, convulsions, and confusion.

Tea, black and green, contains caffeine which can be bad for your health if you drink it too much. Basically - calcuclate your caffeine intake and make sure you do not have more than 400 milligrams in a day.

I remember reading something once about Japanese people get stomach cancer, Americans get colon cancer. They tried to blame it on tea in Japan and meat in America.

In my opinion black coffee, black tea are always good for overall health but not too much daily twice or thrice.
