Am I the only one offended?

It's been a year since I made that post, and I still wonder...the funny thing now is that occasionally I post on a sidewalk talker, "why would you let someone clown around with your coffee?" I do get alot of smiles out of it!

Am I the only one offended?

Thank you, and I wich I could have gone! But, of course, thats the "perks" of owning your own business, vacations are far and few between. I'm sooo envious, I'm sure it was a blast!!!

Am I the only one offended?

Thank you for the replies! I totally agree with everyone, I'm just really tired of defending my profession, my passion, and my life. I did make the comment that I wasn't sure if this is where I should post this, but I got pretty ticked when I read the "coffeefest was full of piercings and...

Am I the only one offended?

I'm sorry, I think my point isn't being made. I got bent when I read a post from someone who went to coffeefest, and said the place was crawling with baristas-ponytails and piercings-that wasn't the case and it bothered me. It just added to the labels. And if you haven't noticed I just don't...

New to the business world, looking for insight!

My throw into this is you HAVE to do what you love, and LOVE what you do. My first question is, are there any other coffee/cafe's in the area? I wanted to open a coffeehouse 3 yrs before I actually did, and everyone tried to talk me out of it. I went with my gut, and have been lucky for the...

Am I the only one offended?

Hi! I don't know if this is where I should post, but I've been a forum member, and haven't had time to get on here, but certainly have missed it! My question is, am I the only one who is offended by the "barista" labels that people put on us? I am a coffee house owner/barista, and am very...

    Making \"Recipes\" Easier

I am not real sure how the family member can call it a coffee shop, if they don't have an espresso machine, but...You can count the shots in your head. Use a bar shot glass, and put a pour spout in your bottle, flip it upside down, and count until you fill it to the line, that is your count...

Six Years and still 'Stirring things up'!!!

Just want to share...first of all, tomorrow is my shops 6th anniversary! I really have to thank all of coffee forums for helping me out throughout the years. This has been the place I've asked stupid questions, gotten great advice, and ranted about unhappy customers, and of course gotten alot...

    Where To Get Menu Boards?

Just wondered if you got your menu boards yet, I have a great suggestion, we took wood sheets and painted them black, and then used paint markers (I draw well) but you could use stencils, and the end result looks like a chalk board, they are awesome

    great wholesale roaster in Michigan?

Try Paramount Coffee Co. in Lansing Michigan. They are a employee owned company, also what about Chicago Coffee Roasters. Female owned. Good Luck.

    New Shop need advice

I'm not trying to sound mean, but do you really think you are ready to get into the coffee business? From just reading what you have written, it doesn't seem like you know much about coffee. You've got to do homework! First of all, I wouldn't give anyone a dime to use their name. Seriously...

    Logo

Hey! Thanks everyone, I have been really busy lately, so I haven't had time to get on. I have been renting my building for the last 6.5 yrs, and the owner wants to sell it, so I am really pumped! Lots of ideas, and lots of work. I still haven't gotten around to doing anything with my logo...
