Hello all,

Relative newbie here, hoping to gain some wisdom. I say relative because I've been a coffee drinker for quite some time; however, the need to put some TLC into my current drip machine - I suspect our super hard water is fouling things up - has driven me to seek knowledge and hopefully become a more conscious brewer/drinker.

I'm probably like most 'sheeple' coffee drinkers - I use a Cuisinart Grind N' Brew, drink Folgers most of the time, Trader Joe some of the time, and local roast when my pocket affords it - but hope to hang around here and see where I can improve and enjoy my experience with the bean.

In short, thanks in advance for advice and wisdom. Looking forward to spending time here.

Man, I've been there.

I think between vinegar and chemical additives, I've beaten the beast. I'll need to stick to a regular cleaning regimen to make sure I don't end up in the same boat again.
