Howzit all,

I'm Bruce from South Africa.

I've always loved a good cup of coffee, but this weekend was an eye opener for me.
I went to a local Craft roaster for a roasting evening. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking at doing some of my own roasting using a hot air popper.

I'm a big fan of wine and am in the process of learning to brew my own beer.

Yes it is eye opening experiences for most of us when we first encounter the fresh roasted coffee.

I am sure you will have many questions when you start roasting your own beans. Please do ask if you have some problems or concerns and share your experiences as well....

welcome Bruce. as CJ said, the transformation of the coffee bean is quite amazing. it goes from a grassy smell to a wonderfully intoxicating aroma!
