Mazzer Major E - control panel repair?

hi all!

i recently purchased a new, (to me; it's ~25 years old), mazzer major e. one of the led's is out on the display. it's not the end of the world, and the grinder works well otherwise. but, i was wondering if anyone has ever had any luck repairing the control panel to fix something like this. new control panels cost almost as much as i paid for the grinder.
