New coffee makers vs old coffee makers?

I've been considering buying a new coffee maker! I'm not sure if I should by a newer model like a Keurig or a regular one. I do like the Keurig's because there's not many coffee drinkers in my household. And I can just make one cup for myself. On the other hand, if I have company over I would like to be able to make more than one cup at a time.

If immediate gratification, a cup of a hot coffee-like beverage in your hand two minutes after your feet hit the floor in the morning, is your goal, Keurig is the hands-down winner. BTDT! If good coffee is the goal, a "regular one" has much more potential. It really is a convenience versus quality decision.
