It all depends on how much you do yourself or if you pay for everything as well as if you are buying new used, etc. I have seen shops go in where they did a lot of the work themselves and then go and buy furniture from liqudators who buy up defunct restaurants for as little as $ 50,000. and from there to a million. I would probably say $ 150,000. to $350,000. is more the balpark you would be looking at. There are just to many variables. I would make a list of every expense I could think of, price it out and then be prepared for it to double and you should be OK. If revenue is important do not overlook the higher priced buildings, it is easier to build business in a good location and near impossible in a bad one. Rent is really one of your smaller expenses once you get up and running.
