1930's italla roaster rebuild

Hi! every. first time posting. I have almost completed the roaster it was not completely assembled when i started so i had to guess how the sprockets and chains where arranged. anyway the blower dose not seem to pull air through the machine like it should. or at least how i think it should. any information on this problem or this roaster would be greatly appreciated

Wow, what a cool project! It looks like the blower is driven off of a pretty small gear. I would say go down a size to see if it pulls more air, but it doesn't look like you have any more room to gear it down.

you are right...only thing i can think of doing is come off bottom shaft with another large gear or go to an electric motor just for the fan with speed control. might be nice to be able to adjust the air flow...the fan is not original it was missing so at this point i can do what i want

A fan with speed control would be a nice feature. The only other thing I can think of is you might be able to 3D print more efficient fan blades to go into the original fan to help pull more air if you have access to someone who could do that for you.
